i mean i knew it was shit for a long time, but societal pressure is huge. I mean i spent over 30 years of my life assuming i was a man and that it was just normal for men to secretly want to wear makeup and women's clothes and feel grossed out about their body hair and be embarrassed of femininity. ![]() i might've just been like rosado and dressed up cute and been happy with just that because it was enough. i mean, if societal expectations of cis men weren't so fucking constricting, i might have never conceived of myself as nonbinary. That's cool to hear about where he grew up i dream of a less gendered and more open society. I want to say that i don't have rosado yet so i was just kinda making a goofy post based on first glance Also, I may be very much overstepping foolishly on parts of this, my experience is fairly dissimilar from a lot of peoples’ trans experiences, apologies if i said anything dumb/bad. I think this points to the fact that ‘trans’ has multiple thrusts- ‘not identifying with birth gender’ vs ‘transitioning’ vs ‘completely reworking your own self-conception of your gender’ vs etc, which is part of why people occasionally use other terms like cisn’t or non-cisnormative or whatever (like when a nb person doesnt identify as trans because of differences between their experience and binary trans experiences, ie dissimilar transition- they’re trans for sure but they’re trying to avoid feeling like they’re coopting or being confused with a more specific meaning of trans)īut yeah, so I think in that sense Rosado's trans colors could indicate something besides "was supposed to not identify as he" or "not meant to be trans colors, just coincidence". This also brings up the question of “if you identify with your birth gender, but a heavily different genderqueer/nonbinary version of it, and take certain measures like perhaps hrt, are you trans?“ Are “hrt femboys and hrt butch women” simultaneously cis and ‘trans'? Is Leon in that comic I linked "trans"? He's quite arguably nonbinary, and nonbinary is even in the trans flag, so. Of course I doubt the devs thought that deeply about it but they did include rosado mentioning a less gendered society, so i dont think its that off base at least in spirit? In that context its not hard to imagine Rosado could be nonbinary or genderqueer while still identifying as male. That makes his society sound genderless or something approaching that. However you see and present yourself, you're beautiful." Beauty beyond the silly expectations that come with stuff like gender. So Rosado has a quote about the place he's from: "It's a place of wonder.
